Channa is the director of the Be’eri School for Teacher Education at the Shalom Hartman Institute and a Fellow at the Shacharit Think Thank.  She is a course facilitator at the Gesher Leadership Institute.  Her doctoral thesis from the Department of Gender Studies at Bar Ilan University presents a feminist viewpoint to the Medrash Eicha Rabba.  She is also a guest columnist for various media outlets.  From 2001-2004, Channa was the Jewish Agency education department emissary in Canada, responsible for pedagogy and administration.
