Alon is the director of the Experiential Education division of the Be’eri program at the Shalom Hartman Institute.  He is a course facilitator at the Gesher Leadership Institute and a former Director of Programming at Gesher.  He was one of the initiators of the “Mirkam” NGO – a network of integrated communities and headed the “Yachad Modi’in” NGO for integrated, pluralistic Jewish education.  Alon is a Jerusalem social activist and sits on the Board of the Jerusalemites Movement. He holds a BA in psychology and sociology and a MA in sociology.
